Due to the COVID-19 crisis there are court requirements across the country and employment and tenant background checks can be affected. Select courthouses in various states have temporarily closed onsite access. Automated (electronic) access may still be available.
In states where courts have closed clients can talk to us about options. Please contact us to discuss options for screening applicants and employees during these closures. Options may include modifying background check packages and/or submitting requests to stay ahead of researcher backlogs.
The following includes current courthouse closures that may affect background check turnaround times.

Counties that are in COVID "Red Zones" are encouraged to halt all in-person activities, and are advising clerk's offices to close. Currently, there are over 50 counties affected, limiting in-person access, or only allowing searches to be performed with clerk assistance. We expect delays throughout the state. |
